Museum of Arts and Sciences Student Passes for K-6th
Start
February 01, 2010
End
February 01, 2011
Location
4182 Forsyth Road, Macon, Ga 31210
Join the Partnership! For only $1, your student can become a member of the Museum of Arts and Sciences. Your student will receive a membership card (good for free entry all year) and one guest pass (good for any friend, parent, family member) to use to the Museum. These had previously been offered in Oct. but due to funding it was thought they were not going to be available. However, now we are excited to discover they will be available and two very interesting exhibits are coming soon. The Space Spot features nineteen interactive stations and a discovery cart which focus on star colors, planet sizes, the Hubble Telescope, rocks from space, weight on other planets and many other space subjects -January 15 through May 9, 2010. The World of Giant Insects will also visit on June 19 through October 10, 2010. Six larger-than-life bugs will invade the Museum, including a Rhinoceros Beetle that is 40 times bigger than it's real-life size and a Chinese Praying Mantis that is 60 times bigger than life size. Each of the six insects moves and makes noise, too! The World of Giant Insects exhibit comes to the Museum from Kokoro, the same company that brought us the audience favorite robotic dinosaurs exhibit. And these bodacious bugs will add excitement to the Museum's popular Bug Day on July 17. Send $1 per student along with a self addressed stamped return envelope so I can return your official membership cards to you and your students name, address, grade, your name, a phone number (please!) and email address to Corina Tweddle at 3014 Clairmont Avenue, Macon, Ga 31204 before Feb. 1, 2010. The first time we ran this add 3 people responded. In order to join as a group we need atleast 20 interested students. I would really hate to loose the opportunity to be recognized as a group and loose this extraordinary discount. Adult entry fee is generally $8 so if you use your students extra pass when you take him or her then you've already saved $8 and can atleast take in one exhibit. If you have two students you can go twice free and they can go all year at no cost. This is a no brainer folks, let's not give this up. They don't offer free day anymore. The Museum's are really struggling because of the economy and the Tubman refused to even spend the extra dollars to print passes for us so I want to continue our relationship with the Museum of Arts and Sciences as long as they will let us. Thanks for your support!
